I see in the parts catalog the AC belt is 37”. The alternator belt is 37.5”. The alternator bracket has about an inch of adjustment slot still available in the bracket. Will a 37.5 AC belt work in the alternator position?

Probably.......try it and see. I would think that the adjustment slot is enough to allow the tightening of the 37.5" belt.
