Weber 32/36 base gasket

Weber 32/36 base gasket
We have a whistling sound at idle and confirmed base gasket is leaking. The one between the adapter and intake. Can a stock gasket be used there or do we need one specifically for the swap application? I know the gasket between the carb and adapter is specific to the Weber.
Is there a package deal that includes both gaskets? They are each different gaskets and I have not seen a package yet that shows pictures of the two different gaskets so I was hesitant to order.
Thanks

Alternatively, get some rubberized sheet gasket and trace your own, drill the holes, cut them out - that's what's currently on my B2200, although I have since purchased a set and a rebuild kit to have around.
Either way, use Permatex Aviation on the gaskets.

When you remove the Weber to install your new base gasket, look for clues (round screw marks as seen in the pics) where the adapter plate screws are hitting the manifold and therefore "lifting" the adapter plate off of the intake manifold! It will whistle like heck when this happens. I've doubled the adapter plate gasket to "shorten" the adapter plate screws to keep them from hitting the intake manifold surface. I think maybe some of the Weber kits......or maybe the knock off Weber's kit......had too long of adapter plate screws, possibly.

Actually I think I had to shorten the carb mounting studs if I remember but I don’t remember checking the adapter plate screws. I will check them good when we take it apart. Might be another week before the replacement gaskets get here.
