Underneath the car, beside/in front of the fuel tank.

Hi guys, new on here
but not new to cars and bikes
BUT i cannot find an easy reply to a Mazda question
am self servicing (very competent) a Mazda CX3 PETROL 2WD 2015 2.0 Ltr
some confusion as to whether there is a servicable in line petrol filte fitted
I read there is a filter gauze as part of the fuel pump
but EVERY fuel injected car I have been involved with has had an inline fuel filter
which needs to be changed similar to a diesel fuel filter
anyone know if the above Mazda does or does not have a filter fitted
Thanks for any definitive answers

Fuel filter is incorporated into the intake fuel pump assembly. Not a too big of a job, remove the rear seat base, remove the access plate and there it is.

Thanks for your reply,
but I am aware of the actual fuel pump filter
I was asking about whether there is an in-line filter
a replaceable cartrige type which all the petrol fuel injected cars
I have been involved with over the years have a replaceable
petrol cartridge type filter inserted into the fuel line
and is a servicable item

The replaceable in-tank filter is the inline filter, replacement schedule is every 150,000 kms.

Mazda has been using in-tank filters on its petrol vehicle since the early 2000's

Thanks for clarifying that
that explains why the motor factors I use
state "for life fuel filter"
