Consumer Reports is great for what they are. The focus on reliability and other quantitative factors. With so many other sources focusing on how cars drive and the performance numbers, it is good to have one source that focuses on the expected reliability over the life of the vehicle. That said, they are real car people that love cars and love to drive. They are just lucky to have jobs where they can drive and thrash cars all day.

I love my CX30. I was considering the Mazda3 (I owned a 2004 Mazda 6 from 2004-2020 as a secondary car). Before they announced the CX30, I was torn between going all in on a small cross over or just hanging with a brand I’m familiar with. With the CX-30 I felt like they made a car just for me.

A few things I was some what disappointment with on my 2020 was the power…I knew about it from the reviews and it doesn’t ultimately make me regret the purchase. I also live in an area that does not need AWD.

Ride height is perfect..no more anxiety turning into parking lots/drive ways with a sharp incline. I actually really the look of the contrasted paint with the fenders 😂 (I’m also a big Honda Element fan). I’m hopeful the interior holds up as well as my 04 Mazda 6.

The interior should hold up great. My son drives my 15 Mazda3 and the only wear is the steering wheel leather which apparently was a problem back then. My 19 Mazda3 also looks brand new.

We have the leatherette but the leather should hold up well too.

great! I have white leather (or leatherette). Is there any differences in how to treat these seats?

I have never had a white interior so I am not much help here. I also don’t have Mazda leather, only the leatherette.

It is important to know if you have leather or leatherette. Which trim level do you have?

I have always wondered how the Mazda white leather holds up. With other brands, I have heard about problems with blue jeans staining the leather but I have not heard about this, or any other problems with Mazda’s white leather.

It’s the premium trim. I’ve owned it 5 months and it looks good so far. Although that’s to be expected as a single driver with no pets.
