Default Music and Android Auto

I have the 2020 model. I have a number of issues with music and connecting my Samsung Galaxy S20+ (2020 model) to the car. Firstly why does the car not default to play the radio when first turned on? Every other day before "smart in car experience" or whatever it is called did this. I can turn on the car and go and at least have something to listen to straight away. Now I have to either play around with bluetooth or connect my phone and spend a few minutes before pulling out of the driveway.
Another issue is that I have is the connection to the phone drops out at times and I lose music and navigation and generally have to wait 30 seconds before unplugging and re-plugging the phone as Android Auto seems not to be happy if the connection is lost and reconnected too quickly. Now you may think this is a cable issue but it has happened when the phone has just been sitting there without anyone touching it. It is another annoyance.

Any help or comments from anyone else who may have come across the same would be great.

Thanks
