2014 Mazda CX-5 Navigation System
In addition to the Ipod USB interface problems, I have discovered another big deficiency in my new CX-5's electronics. The navigation system does not have any sort of a compass or an arrow indicating north, unlike every other nav system I have used. I sent an email to TomTom to see if I was overlooking something, but unfortunately they confirm that the Mazda CX-5 nav system does not have this feature. TomTom did hint that this could possible be fixed at some future date, but gave no specifics. It appears that Mazda did not test or think through the Audio/Navigation systems on the CX-5. Such a shame because I love everything else about this vehicle. Hopefully Mazda will listen to the critics and come up with a software fix sometime soon!

Nav Fix!
Hi there! I'm a '14 M6 owner and me, along with many other people, have begun a petition to ask Mazda to update the software on this head unit (which is universal between the CX-5 and M6).
If you wouldn't mind signing it, i'd appreciate it!
Help make a difference

Multiple issues in a Mazda CX-9 2013 with NAV. So many issues with the electronics software, the safety lock sucks! Voice recognition is a JOKE and the software for Satellite radio has so many glitches that it seems like a Beta test released without proper review! Very, very dissapointed on my first Mazda product with everything related to the Navigation System option and technology package (a $2,500 added cost). Quality can be seen in the details, and this is a $40K does not pass the test. Mazda needs to send a software update if they want to keep customers!!!!!!!!!!!
