2015 CX5 Aircon cooling
Hi Team - We have a JDM 2015 CX5 Diesel.
The cooling of the Aircon is very very average. Even after running for a good 15 minutes it struggles to compete with sunlight through the glass on a hot day. If feels like its barely cooling the air coming in from outdoors.
Its a ~60K model.
Am I just dealing with the realities of more environmentally friendly coolants in modern Air con or is there something wrong?
I know the battery is slightly subpar in that two short runs in a row and the car complains about the battery and turns off iStop. Take it for a reasonable run (nothing extreme) and its happy again next drive.
Can't see slightly low voltage affecting cooling - Its all gas / belt / compressor isn't it or is my knowledge on this out of date too. We will get a new battery from the Mazda dealer soon but any advice on that is good too - I know they are special batteries for the iStop - Mazda talked about it being a ~$600 job when I mentioned it when in for a service (Little disappointed they didn't point it out after downloading the diags from the car)
Any tips or just take it in to Mazda for both??

Thanks BWJ - I kind of figured it was a service visit - Just checking there were no knowns. Seems unusual for a car only ~6 years old but we'll book it in for a visit - Might mortgage the house and get the Battery and aircon done at the same time.

Aircon service is checking the correct amount of oil (grams) on the cooling circuit, this is in addition to the pollen filter etc.
It is very important that you have your air-con serviced regularly because in a year your system will leak 10% of the air conditioning gases in the system
