Exclamation 2017 led Scuff/sill plate installation problem

Hi, I am in the middle of installing a led scuff plate but I could not find where to plug in the red/black power plug. I've took apart most of the panel underneath the steering wheel at this point. It came with instructions...but in a foreign language (Chinese?).

Hi Grim Reaper, these are aftermarket. I bought them off Ebay. The seller doesn't respond to my inquiry so I am stuck.

Do you want them to illuminate via the headlights? or Interior lights? or while the ignition is on?

I am trying to go with the map/dome light route so when I open or closed the door it will control the led accordingly. I want to tap near the fuse box area (also a great place to hide all those wires) but it's a jungle down there. What's on my mind is if I cut/damage the wrong one. I would be left with a few hundred dollar worth of repair bill.

Do you have a KE or KF chassis?

Don't know. I have a Canadian 2017 gs model. Mid trim similar to the US touring model.

Is it the newest shape or the old 2012 shape?

I finally got it done and used the video that I took during the process to combined it into a video guide. I hoped it helped someone.
