No not really if you look at the numbers, all the numbers.

I have a few attorneys that are friend's and also long-time customers. This type of suits often is brought up in the group conversations. These "class action suites are money makers for attorneys and in this case, I asked my "crew" of attorneys, and they recommend staying off the books. It isn't going to pay!!! So have fun rally your troops and support and good luck.

BTW not that it matters and may be off topic. I have my third hood being painted just today. Should be on the MADZAZ by next month. That one will have a clear bra and also some 3m vinyl stripes. Maybe the aerodynamic challenge in which cause more contact with debris creating impact chips will be reduced considerably. LOL

I should also mention that my friend that owns a shop in Scott's valley Ca installs clear bras on many red and other factory colors with reduced or eliminating the debris contact chips on the front body parts. HIs main customer is a couple auto dealers in San Jose Ca.
Ya see many of us realized and saw that this was going to be an issue years ago as vehicles became more aerodynamic smooth. Its not the quality of the "PAINT"!

Good luck with any petition.
Nearly every major manufacturer has a case out there involving paint lawsuits concerning paint blisters, peels and bubbles.
I only found one that has been settled so far and that was the Mercedes 590 Mars Red paint and Mercedes admitted no fault.
Reimbursements for past repairs and coverage for future repairs are on a sliding scale based on the age and mileage of the vehicle.
Those that don't meet the age & mileage scale get "zero" and those vehicles that do qualify get reimbursed from 25% up to 100% of the "qualified repair cost".
"Qualified" repairs are limited to "refinishing of affected areas only" in accordance with a technical service bulletin that was issued to dealers' years before the red paint lawsuit was filed.
A "qualified past repair" is one that occurred before the effective date of the red paint settlement and performed in accordance with TSB L198.00-P-058914,and may have been performed by either a Mercedes dealer or independent repair shop. However, reimbursement for a repair done at an independent facility won't exceed 10% of what the same repair would have cost if performed at a dealership.
Suffice to say the only people who make out on these class action lawsuits are the lawyers.
