2018 GT, Live Traffic or not?
Hello,
I purchased A 2018 Grand Touring and have been confused by the traffic feature, or lack thereof. There is an app that apparently runs off the HD radio signal but I have not found it helpful. I have seen several reference to "historical traffic pattern" but I am not sure if that is the App or somehow built into the navigation system. As well, when actively navigating, I select the information button and I see "Traffic" as one of the choices. When I select it, everything is greyed out. Is this something you I would have to add through XM radio for live traffic? Is there such a thing on my Maxda?
Any help is appreciated.

I was surprised when my 2018 CX-5 Sport suddenly updated my route and said better route found due to traffic. My 2014 Mazda 3 had that feature, but it expired after 3 months and Mazda stopped offering to continue it for a subscription fee. Strangely, with the 2014 Mazda 3, every time they updated my Infotainment system, I got 3 more months.
But I use Google Maps on my phone anyway. Waze runs down my phones battery quicker than Google Maps (both owned by Google now, so Google Maps is just a Waze Lite).
