2019 - CX5 - Wrench Light

Check the Mfg. Date . The car may have sat for a long time at port, dealer etc.
If you plan to keep the car for a long time, I would just spend the bucks to change it sooner.
Just my 2.5 cents worth.
Happy Holiday,
Jim

An old gearhead friend believed that if you're late for an oil change, at least replace (& prime before install) the filter and adjust back to full with the oil you are using. His logic was that the oil itself was still good but the level of contaminants in it (that pass through the filter) are why the oil should be really be replaced at regular intervals. Have ever noticed the particular sludge that sticks to the insides of an oil pan after drain oil has been emptied into a recycling bottle? Eeeech! Inside MY engine? I don't think so.

I'm wondering if the WRENCH light is your check engine soon light. Go to an Auto Zone and have them scan your cars computer for fault codes - I suspect you have an issue that has nothing to do with oil changes. I think you have a fault code to deal with. You can get a fault code for something as simple as a loose gas cap.
