Default 2019 memory seats on cx5

I just bought a new cx5 gtr. The owners manual isn't clear on how to erase or delete a set seat position.
The manual talks about using the key fob, but I never used the fob to memorize a seat position.
Can someone explain the process to delete a seat memory?
Thanks

Can't you simply follow the procedure in the manual and override the current setting?

The manual says to use the key fob to delete. But I never used the key fob to set.
There has to be a way to delete a seat memory. But the manual doesnt say how.

Why is it necessary to erase a setting rather than just input the one you desire?

The memory setting wont let me move the seat backwards.

I can't help with that other to suggest it might be a mechanical problem or the seat is already in its rearmost position.

I dont believe the seat is as far back as it will go, the passenger seat moves further backward, than the driver's seat.

Look under the seat or take it to a dealer. I'm out.

There could be something under the seat, bottle, matting, that is impeding the backward motion.

As stated above, the seat memory only moves the seat to a specific configuration; it doesn't enforce it once there. You should be able to adjust the seat wherever you like at any time.

As far as the memory settings, there are actually 4 separate configurations that can be saved independently. Setting buttons 1 and 2 are the obvious ones, but you can also press the 'Set' button and hit the unlock button on your key fob to link the current seat configuration to your key. Most people use the same configuration for Button 1 and Key 1 then Button 2 and Key 2, but you could technically set Button 1, Button 2, Key 1, and Key 2 all to completely different configurations if you wished.
