Default 2020 CX-5 oem battery

What battery would have been used in a 2020 CX-5. I know it's a group 35 size, but would it have been lead/acid or a sealed battery?

By sealed do you mean AGM? If so it really doesn't matter. Either will work fine in the CX-5. Get a group 35 and you are good to go. Is your '20 battery dead already? If so it should be replaced for free if you head into the dealer (unless you are over 36k miles...)

Yes, about the AGM. My CX-5 battery is just fine. I was checking on prices for a replacement battery for my Wife's 2014 MX-5 and checked to see what one for the CX-5 would run. The site I was looking at said the OEM was a AGM battery, but mine has screw caps and warns about explosive gases. I've only had the CX-5 for about 3 weeks and it's 17 months old, so I'm not sure if it's the original battery or a replacement.

Interestingly the lead acid battery I use in my scooter is sealed. Seems they make both types in sealed varieties.
