Got an SD card on E-Bay from a seller in Fl (https://www.ebay.com/itm/284183599879)
It arrived today, installed it and the screen came up as soon as I started the car.
Poked around a bit trying to figure out how to use it.
Found this link to the Mazda Navigation manual: https://www.mazdausa.com/owners/how-...=2021&mc=21CX5
The link there takes you to a downloadable PDF manual: https://www.mazdausa.com/siteassets/...ers-manual.pdf

Just curious. Will an SD card purchased from a third party include updates? If the higher priced card at the dealer includes updates, it may be as good a deal as an aftermarket card that doesn't include any updates. Or does any option include updates. My 2016 had three years, I'm not familiar with the 2021 setup.

Just bought a nav SD card from NavKings on eBay for $65. Booted right up. I'll take it back out today and load it up on Toolbox and see if it has any updates. NavKings purports that this is a "real" Mazda SD card removed from a rental fleet and not a copy.
As previously stated, the Mazda navigation sucks. Android Auto is far better and my main navigation app. However, for $65, the SD card was a good backup for when there's no cell reception and I forgot to download the offline maps for Google Maps.

So, the card I purchased from MapKings on eBay is a valid map card and I have 3-years of updates - https://www.ebay.com/itm/303863182113

In that case, I'd definitely go with the cheaper option. For the price of the car, it is a chintzy of Mazda to charge extra for it. I live in a part of the country where cell phone reception is spotty. GPS that does not rely on a cell phone signal is a must here, which makes some of the other options less useful.
