Default 2021 cx 5 window safety circuit

Hello All,
I have installed the Weathertech in channel rain guards in my windows.
The issue is that the auto up function is cancelled by the safety circuit which protects against something being entrapped with the closing window. The window reverses and stops at a midway point as soon as it engages the rain guard in the window track.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so is there a work around or re-calibration of the sensing circuit which can stop this?
Any help would be appreciated as I really don't want to glue on the exterior type rain guards like Mazda sells.

Thanks

No adjustment or calibration available. Every weather shield I've seen is held on with double sided tape, not glue.

Does the reset procedure work, as outlined in the owners manual. It also seems like you can use the power window like a regular window, overriding the auto jam feature.

See if this helps See the two Notes.

Bad news is it's a common issue with the WeatherTech deflectors.
You can 'fast-up' to just short of the shield and then 'inch' up to close.
You can also push out slightly at the rear corner of the shield just before
closing the window. That helps a bit.
Things seem to have gotten better after about six months of use. I haven't
had mine 'catch' in a while now.

My 2¢

I have the WeatherTech deflectors on both my CX5 and Grand Cherokee and have never had a problem. Wonder if there was a change in the window system since 2014.
