2021 CX5 Grand Touring aren't these supposed to light up?
I bought this thing back in March and I am ashamed to admit I've only driven at night a couple times. Tonight I went to go flip on the heated seats and steering wheel and realized I couldn't see what I was doing. and had to flip on the map lights. The orange lights come on when the heated seats are on, but don't the symbols on the buttons themselves light up? Am I missing something?

IIRC, from my own 2016 CX5, the intensity (visibility) of the accessory lighting also depends on whether you've cranked-up (or -down) the illumination intensity dial. I'll check it again early this morning when I head out, but I think that if you dim the brightness down on the illumination dial then those accessory lights also dim. Certainly does the tach/odo, but I'm pretty sure it can also completely turn off those accessory lights if you dial it back enough.

We've all been there. ;-)

Well it has been along time since I posted here. The car is still going strong. Recently had to change the battery. That is the only thing I have had to do to maintain her besides oil changes every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.
Got a replacement battery from BJs Wholesale Interstate IBX Silver for $134.47.
When the battery failed (at 12.1 volts), it also threw a P2610 CEL. Simply replaced the battery and reset the code and it has never returned. Noticed rough idle when I first installed the new battery.
Tip #1: At minimum 12.8 volts is required to get the car started correctly, and while driving if the alternator is working correctly you should be able to read 14.4 volts.
Tip #2: Recommend you get one of these cigarette lighter USB devices and just leave it plugged in. And simply glance at it every now and then. So you don't have to open the hood and use a multi-meter every time to check if the battery is well.
Decided to check out the old battery and see if I can fix it. Actually it wasn't that bad, as I was able to fix it by adding some distilled water. Then trickle charged it back up using my battery tender jr. Probably should have done this instead of spending $134. Highly recommend everyone just do this. You can refill the battery while it is in the car, just be extremely careful.
As you can see the level of the liquid inside was low, especially in the first and last chambers. I just used a little droplet tube and slowly filled them all back up to the middle. I was able to charge it back up to 13.2 volts.
