2022 CX-5 - IS IT POSSIBLE TO TURN OFF DRLs ?
#21
Perhaps I'm incorrect but I think the DRL's are LED and so no heat.
I hear you on the "thinking headlights are on" my wife was stopped for that while I was a passenger.
Normally I would have caught that, but I was still groggy from day surgery on my eye.
My bloody eye patch and surgery wristband got her out of ticket.
No tar & feathering here...just buying a round

My question? Why are folks berating the OP for asking rather than just answering the question? Whose business is it anyway other than the OP's? He didn't ask for opinions on whether it was a good idea to do so. If someone knows how to disable them, great, otherwise move on to the next thread....
And yes Cali, I do have a sense of humor

First I'll answer the question To disable the DRL just pull the DRL relay. Its the most forward one on the second row in the under the hood fuse box.. We are adults here, we know the risks (thoroughly outlined above) just like everything else we have choices. If it is illegal where you reside I would advise against it. but other than that, its your car, your call.
Now my question, I don't want DRL headlights I want DRL LED surrounds to come on (like most other brands do with DRL). When you pull the DRL relay the surrounds come on with the parking lights. . . . but then your rear parking lights will be on too. I just want the front LED on as a DRL which will make my car more unique and hopefully stand out more..
I have Forscan and understand it (made similar changes to my 2019 Ford F-150 with its DRL's and several other things). There are a million Ford F-150 Forescan video's on youtube if you guys are interested. The exact same hardware works on the Mazda.. I already got Forescan to work on the 2023 Mazda Signature
I assume it is in the front body control module (as built). Can anyone tell me the string to modify?
