2023 CX-5 snow chain info requested
I am the owner of a new 2023 Mazda CX-5 (AWD). P225/65R17.
I am in the process of getting it properly kitted out for all season travel.
What do CX-5 owners use for tire chains?

My state gets a lot of snow and ice up north and no one uses chains here except off road log skidders and a few plow trucks.
Studded snow tires are all that is needed for driving on plowed roads.
The CX-5 is not designed for deep snow/mud or any "heavy" off road use that would require the use of chains.
Personally, I would not use chains on any new road vehicle unless it was a plow truck.
I've seen to many break, and witnessed the damage caused by it.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a car with chains on them...

Studs are allowed anywhere in CA from November 1st to April 30th.
I would never put chains on my daily driver vehicle, especially a new one.
But that's me, you are free to do whatever you want.
As for chains on off road vehicles I've seen multiple brands and types used.
And everyone one of them have come off at some point during use, even at very slow speeds.
They even fall off my snowblower at least once a year no matter how well they are installed.
But they don't do much, if any, damage to a snowblower, plow truck or a tractor when they do.
Good luck in your hunt.
