Alignment specs for 2016 CX-5 AWD
Would like to know what a "good" set of specs for alignment would be on a CX-5. Suggestions?
In the past 20yrs, have only had alignments done in a Mazda Miata and a Mazda3. The Mazda3 was set and forget, and it never needed another. With the Miata I played with the alignment specs quite a bit, based on the tougher mountainous roads I contended with. An exacting alignment with slight changes could transform the handling. Of course, on the CX-5 I drive like it's a CX-5 on all-weather tires, so it won't need anywhere near the sporty handling of those other two vehicles. I'd simply prefer a spot-on proper alignment instead of merely one that's "to-spec" or with numbers in "factory range."
Am considering having the suspension gone through, within the next year or so, to check tie rod ends, ball joints, shocks, etc. Will obviously be doing an alignment at that point. Likely items: H&R springs (slight lowering); Koni Sport shocks; whatever appropriate parts needed to fix looseness and wear that's found in the eval.
