Default Battery change for CX-5 - DIY job?

Will need to replace the battery at some point on my 2014 CX-5 petrol (with stop/start). Is this a straightforward swap, or does the new battery have to be programmed to the car in some way?

The i-stop will require resetting/relearning for the new battery.

I assume that is merely a matter of switching it on (perhaps after switching it off first?).

No.

it's quite complicated & long winded. Don't know why they made it so difficult.

The rating on my [2019 CX5 Sport], 2.0L Petrol battery was hidden under the battery clamp; post picture here
as may be of interest to know what MAZDA fit in manufacture.
Unfortunately in removing clamp [on engine side] it slipped into depths of engine bay; probed with my magnetic rod; no luck,
so off to dealer tomorrow
