Brakes
2018 CX5 here. Brakes suck,
Had the brake fluid changed and had new rear brakes installed and the brakes still suck.
Pedal travel is far and it takes a lot of foot pressure to activate the brakes.
Does anyone else have any brake problems ?
Any suggestions to remedy it ?
Thanks in advance

I wonder why the front brakes weren’t changed, they normally wear out first unless there are other problems. The symptoms sound like air in the lines or the wrong fluid, but there could be other causes. Take it back to the shop that did the work. The CX-5 is not known for poor brakes. Mine certainly don’t “suck”.

They were a little better after the brakes were done but it just got worse again.

New brake fluid (or old for that matter) will cause a soft pedal if any air was not properly bled out by the mechanic. There may be a leak in the brake system, either in the lines or the master cylinder. Has the brake fluid level been dropping?
