Default CALLISTO - Trans Fluid Change Kit

CALLISTO, would this be a good kit to purchase to change the trans fluid on my 2015 CX-5?

Is the Ravenol better then the Mazda FZ?

Or is the correct answer always use genuine Mazda FZ fluid and trans filter?

The kit looks complete. If it’s is applicated for your Mazda it’s good to go.

I don’t have a drop left of Mazda ATF in my transmission.
I prefer Castro ATF with some other “snake oil “ modifiers . 🤓

Looking at the info and technical and specifications information Ravenol is at least equal to and meets the Mazda recommendations for ATF .

I have never personally used that brand of oil.

Is your preferred snake oil modifier Lubegard? And if so, the red bottle or the platinum?

NO.

I wont publish what I use because it causing debates from to many that have never used it and have their own opinion based on no testing or oil analysis as to its useful worth.

I do recommend that automatic transmission be oil and filter service at least every 35-45k miles or SOONER. And if those lucky to get to 80k-100k miles without problems to have a complete transmission full fluid service with the proper Automatic service equipment done.

No that is not correct. This forum and many of my responses are read and used on almost every Mazda forum. Yet they do not give me the credit and re-write the information as if it came form them. The few that gets copied are from members on forums that just don't care for my posting style (a few here on their forum ) and will quote my responses and post them on various like thread topic with derogatory comments about me personally. rolmao. Some don't realize that I see them either by user name or their IP. LOL

The funniest are those that post on my very own personally owned forums not knowing its mine. ROLMAO. We as owners and have a close connection IT's can back door most forums on the internet and see those areas that are supposed to be locked. Don't worry PM are still considered in the IT group taboo to look at.

I will say look at REDLINE and AMSOIL transmission products. I do use them for various projects. But not my Mazda. lol

Did you use a transmission pan gasket when you changed the trans oil?
if so, what brand?
Seems like some people complain about the Beck Arnley gaskets leaking.

Or did you use RTV only, and if so, what brand and type of RTV?

Or did you use both a gasket and RTV?

RTV is a poor-mans choice for sealing area's. And it makes a nightmare for the next service to remove it all.
There are a few exceptions but not many.

In every case on any forum that a gasket leaked if the member posted a few pictures, I could ALWAYS see that they error in some way the process.
Mostly not doing a proper stepped torquing sequence and over tightening. Overtightening creates uneven squish leading to leaks.. And always sealer or gasket you warm the engine or transmission and recheck the fasteners.
I use generic brand gaskets NAPA, Amazon, Rock Auto etc. For simplified area's and Fel-Pro if they have application and work down from there. on amazon or napa Auto Parts. There are NO bad gaskets only bad applicators (DIY even some mechanic's) LOL

On my thread is 2 or 3 transmission pan services i did you can see the steps.
