How many inch pounds do you torque your trans pan down, when using a gasket?

For my personal Mazda pan it is more about using about 5 steps. Then rechecking after the transmission is warmed once then after a short drive for leaks or fluid saturation which cause the annoying drip. I torque to 60 inch lbs unless the gasket shows signs of crushing to much then I will only go to 50-55 in lbs. Then it is more or less visually looking to see how the gasket sets and crushes. You can see the torque procedure on my thread .
there is one bolt on some Mazda that the need for sealer on the thread needs to be used. But on my transmission I readied that with a longer pan bolt. Not sure why Mazda didn’t just do that?

For customers it is for Most Mazda’s 60 to 70 inch pounds but I use ALLData for the exact information use it and log the source and torque used on the customers work order. And we always to a short drive and double check for leaks and gasket oil saturation. If done there is neither and with this method it works every time.

The bottom of the pan was surprisingly clean for 113k miles. I have done a drain and fill several times over the years though.

If you want to see what the material is on the magnet go to my thread and see how I removed and separated the material for inspection on the magnet.

LOL I keep suggesting that you visit my thread and look at the information there?
Lots of pictures... none technical thread I don't answer questions about most what I do on that thread .. I only post things I have done for my own personal Mazda. But I have as I said a few times service the Transmision which included a couple or more oil analysis.
