Default Chip shortage

Did Mazda resolve it's chip shortage ? A couple super dealers in New Jersey each have 500+ 2022 CX-5's in stock or in transit.
I know Subaru Forestor's are still in very tight supply as NJ dealers wanted 2,000 over MSRP when I purchased my 2022 CX-5.

Don't know, 500+ sounds really optimistic. I still get super offers from our local Mazda dealer to buy our 2018 CX-5, so I assume their inventory is running pretty low.

Chip shortage is not expected to get much better until 2023.
With most chips being made in China & Taiwan everyone is at the "mercy" of these countries Covid infections (production) and export decisions (how much and to who).
The new $20 billion Intel chip factory in Ohio will not be online until 2025.

Just to clarify, there is an industry wide chip shortage, not just Mazda.

I believe it is still very much an issue as I work for Mazda and the sales department is always bugging us about getting those used cars done as we get a new batch of vehicles and half are already sold. Or by the time I come back the next day the lot is just empty

Yeah, we still get pretty good buyback offers from our Mazda dealer for our 2018 CX-5. The used car market is still hot.
