Default CX-5 2016.5 Auto Unlock Issue

Howdy! New here, first post. LOVE LOVE LOVE our CX-5

As designed, when you park and shut off the CX-5, all the doors unlock.

My wife, who works nights, would rather unlock the door(s) herself as parking lots are now a favorite spot for criminals to grab unsuspecting motorists.

Is there a way to change the programming to prevent and ALL-UNLOCK upon parking?

Thanks!

On my 2016.5 GT with the key in the on position, engine started or not, you can change the way the doors lock and unlock. (might work in the ACC position too)

It's in the vehicle settings. Look for door locks and select it. At first it's not clear that there is a subsection of the door lock mode. Select it and you'll see all the options.

Customize automatic door lock settings:
  1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
  2. Select VEHICLE tab.
  3. Select Door Lock.
  4. Select your desired settings.
  5. Select Keyless Lock Beep Volume, select to set volume at High, Medium, Low or Off.
  6. Select Door Relock Time, select to set automatic relocking at 90, 60 or 30 seconds.
  7. Select Unlock Mode to select your desired settings.

Default Should have mentioned...

Conrad 16.5-

I should have mentioned that I DO NOT have the digital display dash board.

We wanted a manual transmission, and the that only comes with the standard radio dash.

I'm guessing that changes your answer.

What does the owners' manual say?

Yep, that changes my answer for sure!

Do you have the owner's manual? There's a long process (it looks long on paper) involving using the driver's door lock that's used to change the way the locks behave. If you don't have the manual it's available online at the Mazda site.

Default SOLVED! - CX-5 Auto Unlock Issue

When I initially RTFM I wasn't looking for the lock solution, and likely read past it.

Pages 3-16 and 3-17 cover this issue. There are 3 profiles for the manual transmission (normal radio) model, and 6 profiles for the fancier models.

Profile 2 auto locks when you start driving, but DOES NOT unlock the car when you turn it off, which is exactly what I was looking for. MUCH safer for my wife who works nights.

Woo Hoo.

Interesting aside: The front two door unlock when you pull on the release handle. The back two (for kids I guess) need to be manually unlocked (little ****) or use the electric unlock button.

Thanks for all your input.

Hi, I have a 2014 cx5. The passenger door, Rear passenger door, and trunk will not lock or unlock. I checked the actuator, changed the fuse, and have a new battery in the car. nothing has helped yet. I'm assuming it may be something electric, but truly have no idea. Please, id appreciate any help. Thanks
