CX 5 2019 Remote Start
Hi
I bought the Mazda CX 5 GS in the winter of 2019. A few days back I visited the dealer where I bought the car. I was looking to buy a remote start for my 2019 CX 5. The dealer says I had to wait a couple of months for the remote key!
What's the solution?

12voltsolutions
I bought a remote start from 12volt.solutions, they send you the plug and play connection for your vehicle, you have to do a programing sequences and mail it back for them to finish the programing and they send it back amd you finish it and done. You use your same key fob and the there are other options like remote start with your phone if intersted. Mailing is quick and it's all included in the price. It's around $350 but worth it for plug and play with original key fob, I've had mine since July 2020 and so far no complaints

I bought a 2017 CX-5 and asked the dealer about adding remote start. He said that Mazda was allowing the older (non-cell phone) method to be installed in some cars and mine would fall in that category being a 2017. I got the impression the unit was similar to what was used in 2014-2016 models But then said they wouldn't have any available for quite a while. While doing other maintenance on the car I noticed a strange box behind the glove box labelled "C960 V7 620" I looked it up, and what do ya know, it's remote start! It's important to note that there were issues with the car after I bought it such as the metal keys not fitting the door lock, etc. Which led me to believe it was a repo which means there's someone out there running around with the ability to start my car in a parking lot. However, my primary objective is to buy a remote compatible with this system which I've learned is part# C960-V7-621 when I searched for the remote, I've found there are 2 variations with the same part number. One has a light up picture with buttons on the side, the other is plain black square with buttons on the front and what looks like an antenna on the top right. Maybe they both work with this system? Which one should I get?

Programming remote start fobs.
I am installing a plug and play remote start. The instructions say to go to number 18 for details. I haven’t found a sent of instructions yet that have #18. Can’t get my remotes to program. Has anyone else found # 18 on their instructions?
