Hi there felow Mazda CX5 owners,
Happy new year
I've just purchased a 2016 (Nov) CX-5 2.2 TD Sport Nav 2WD (s/s) 5dr - what an awesome car as it replaced my cx-7 which was slightly thirsty !!!

Make sure all recalls are up to date.
Make sure the ECU/PCM software is up to date - Only available from a Mazda Dealership.
Make sure the exact specification of oil recommended by Mazda is used.
Don't use it for predominantly short trips or round town driving, it needs long highway/motorway driving.to maintain DPF health & longevity.
Keep a regular eye on fluid levels.
Make sure it receives regular & complete servicing as per manufactures recommendations.

Good input from Reaper.
Don't know how many miles on car. Check tires and suggest rotation/balance are okay.
Would also go to dealer and have service dept pull up any history.
Good luck with your new ride.
