CX-5 OEM Accessories, opinions...
Well, I received my nice 50% off Mazda accessories coupon from Costco recently since purchasing my car through their program, so this is what I picked up:
1. Cargo cover: Very nice! 10 second install. I thought at $200 list price it was a rip-off, but at $100 it's a fair price. A good amount of engineering went into it as it retracts and can be easily removed. This should be a standard feature but I didn't notice until after the purchase.
2. Rear mud flaps: PITA installation for the first one. Not for the timid as it takes some time to figure it out. Pry apart some molding and remove some clips, trim away some plastic, etc. Finally threw away the instructions and it went much easier. 45 min. for the first one, 15 min for the second. Fit and quality are excellent though and they look nice.
3. Metal dead pedal: Looks nice! That ugly wear pattern was beginning already on the dead pedal carpet area, so this should fix that. Installation was about 30 min. Don't bother using a drill, a utility or exacto knife is all you need for the two holes. Door molding came apart fairly easily, just take your time as the precision fit of these pieces are extremely tight.
That's all for now, but overall happy with the quality of these pieces. Feel free to list any additional items.

hey, when you get a chance i would like to see your "metal" dead pedal foot rest part. we're a new owner of the 2016 cx5 awd sport and just noticed it didn't have a nice foot rest just like you said it was just carpeted.

Very few options/accessories are standard here in The States grim. A sales person once explained it to me, but it was a sales person and all I heard was blah, blah, blah. Something to do with the relationship between Ford and Mazda. Ford employees qualify to purchase Mazda's under the A plan which is special pricing. Therefor, there has to be and apple to apple comparison between dealers and add-ons would increase price and blah, blah, blah.
Anyhow, looks nice Sasha5. Glad to see your enjoying CX-5.

Not all Apples are the same when compared to each other.
In Australia you can by the top of the line Mazda 3 for $38,000, for the same price you can buy the base spec Audi A3, but to up-spec the A3 to the same level as the Mazda 3 it would cost another $12,000.
