CX-5 Rear Camera Issues
Hi,
Not sure if this has already been addressed but I'm having random problems with the reverse view camera. Randomly when I hit reverse the screen of the camera scrambles and even sometimes the screen turns blue.
Anybody has had a similar problem and can tell me what they did to solve it?
I have a 2014 CX5 Grand Touring still under Warranty.
Thanks!

The Mazda dealer I went to said that they can't do anything because Mazda requires evidence that the issue is happening in order for the warranty to cover. Since the issue happens randomly, they didn't see any issues.
They told me to take a video when it happens but come on, I'm not going to take my phone out to take a video every time I put reverse.
Basically they don't believe me.

Thank you. It looks like there's a TSB:
Date Reported

NHTSA Reference

TSB Reference

Description: SOME VEHICLES MAY HAVE INOPERATIVE REAR MOUNT CAMERA. DUE TO WATERING ENTERING THE CAMERA FROM A HIGH PRESSURE CAR WASH.
Lets see if I can pour water on the camera to simulate rain and take a video of the scrambled screen. Hope that makes Mazda happy.
