This is why you don't guess and start checking for things that you do not have the knowledge or experience to do. Take it to Mazda and just get it taken care of.
Any lights or caution indicators are engineered to let you know something is not functioning properly.
And please do not replace any parts that you have not tested and shown to be fault. This more often then not creates added issues to the primary one making it harder to diagnose the original problem.
Forums are a good place for ideas but you have to remember most member are not professionals and only guess what to do based on what you post. While in many cases some members wins the
GUESSING GAME" it is at your expense and time.

booked in to go see the dealer, really weird that a scan of codes brought up nothing. By posting I had hoped someone had perhaps already experienced this issue and knew where to start looking for the fault and perhaps save some diagnostic time and expense. I will post the result the results next week - maybe it will help someone on this forum in the future.

After removing the back end guards/bumper they found a conector was apparently sitting in moisture in a cavitiy, instead of being mounted higher in its propper location on clips, a previous owner had a towbar fitted and it looks like it was not done 100%. The varying amounts of moisture and humitity on different days was causing hte differing range of errors I was seeing over the 3 weeks prior to finding the cause. All fixed at no charge by the dealer.
