DIY Window Tinting
Hello everyone. Has anyone here tinted the windows yourself? What do you recommend? Thanks in advance.
I am retired and I drive through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, etc. And my left arm gets sunburned easily on bright sunny days. I'd like to tint my windows to block UV rays and to minimize heat build up inside the CX-5 interior.

Let a professional shop do it. A good shop uses only the highest quality product and lifetime guarantees the job. They are bound by law to install no darker gradient than permitted (in FL for example, darker "Limo" tint is okay in the rear windows but driver and passenger front windows must be a grade lighter). Cops carry a photo-dense-ometer to check it if it's questionable. Have you ever worked with film?

When I picked up a 2017 GS I took it to a local shop and had the driver and passenger side windows tinted to match up with the rest of the windows. They installed a ceramic type of tint for $70. It does help when driving down here in South FL.
