Question Fixing dent in window trim

There's a dent in the plastic trim above the driver's side window on my 2016 Mazda CX-5. Somehow, this dent seems to have shortened the overall length of the trim, leaving a gap between the trim and the plastic cap at the edge of the door (see below).

I'd like to pop off the trim to see if I can flatten it out - is it possible to remove it without breaking the trim? And once off, is it possible to pop it back on?

Any other suggestions on how to fix this & close up the gap are very welcome!

I do not know but advise that you research carefully because popping it off may be a one time operation

I know that the chrome waist trim at the base of the window is designed as single use item. The part must be replaced with new parts (found out as a result of body work recently completed on our car)
