Hate my Headlight yellow...
Howdy all....
Just got a new Touring CX-5...love it all so far except, the yellow color of the low beam headlights... Driving at night, I find the yellow beam nauseating .
I don't need it to get any brighter...I just drive within city so, don't care to change to high powered ( HID..?? ) kits so on..so forth..
Any suggestion on switching to white or Blue/white beam bulb..?? ( I don't care for "Dim" crap sold in ebay either !! )
Thanks for any info..

HiD lights are twice as bright and installation may not be cheap.
The key is to find out what rating "K" your stock bulb is. Chances are it is around 3300K.
You need to find a bulb that is 5000K, I have 4300K and they are not yellow but i have a good link for you on different brightness "K" ratings.
However, the higher the "K" the more coating on the bulb and the less bright it will be. choose no higher than 5000K.
Your best bet is to go to a place that sells aftermarket.

I like these:
PIAA | Xtreme White
They used to have one that was as bright without the slight blue look to the bulb but they don't seem to make it anymore. I preferred it but with the projector housing you don't see a blue color when the bulbs are off like in regular headlight housings.
that's just a link to the main company site for info, you can find them a lot cheaper elsewhere.

Your welcome!
Before I went HiD on my Mazda 6 i tried 7000K lights and they were useless.
I could hardly see the road even after re-adjusting.
Now i have 35 watt 4300K lights and they are twice as bright as stock, what a huge difference, great for safety (on your end - not on someone approaching you). You should re-aim them a little lower and you can still see farther down the road! Win Win .
