Help! Problem with Keyless ignition
Yesterday I made an oops and took the key out of the car while it was moving (my husband was driving, I had the key in purse and got out of the car). He drove it about 10 feet and turned it off with push button.
When I go to start the car today, it doesn't recognize either key - ie the "key" icon stays red (tried my spare as well), and also displays the key error icon. Of course it wont start (push button never turns green). I tried using the manual key entry and the key "fob" to start and still no luck...
Any ideas..
Thanks!

key fob
New problem. Car is 2014 M-6 touring with 13000 miles. Today wont start. I first called my Mazda service telling him car will not start, but lights and horn works normally. He said I dunno, call road service. Idid and they called "pop A Lock" who came out and first asked, do you have key or push button start? I said push button. He immediately used my Fob and touched the start button and it started. He said he does about 10 like cars each day with start button, and none with key start. Many being on recall.
I then went to Mazda service dep't and he thought it was my battery in the Fob. Service tech checked battery and said it was at 85%. I had replaced the battery in last 3 months.
The "P.O.L." guy said some newer cars now have a key in the arm rest console to use in case of fob wont start. He also he is getting rich doing button start issues and would never buy a car with same. My problem, I dunno. nobody offered a solution.
