I had to change battery in my key fob yesterday as the car wouldn’t start.
two things, first does anyone know how to start the car when this happens.
Second, at age 80 I have had a lot of different key fobs but never one nearly as complicated as this one to change a battery. Are they forcing us to go to the dealer for this.

Yes, I agree, the keyfob design is not good. here is the link to start the car.. just hold the keyfob close/almost touching to start button and should work.

Here's the tutorial for changing the key FOB battery.
I keep it my desktop CX-5 folder because I know the next time I need to change it I'll have forgotten how.
