Maintenance light/wrench

Maintenance light/wrench
Good morning.
I have a 2016 CX5 touring with approximately 41,000 miles.
The maintenance/oil change wrench warning light keeps activating. It will stay on for days, soemtimes it comes on and goes off during a drive.
I just had an oil change and they said they reset it. I went into the settings and changed it also. But the light still comes on and goes off intermittently.
ive heard its a relatively benign issue, but
Any thoughts?

The simple test is to disconnect your negative lead on the chassis or battery for at least 10 minutes. Reconnect go immediately to your setting and adjust for the next maintenance schedule you want.
If this does not work then you will need to go to MAZDA or a service shop and have them check the display board and program, possibly the last or latest ECU update and pass-through? ,

I'm guessing this isn't your first oil change.
However, I had that issue after my first oil change.
Seems the CX-5 engine and other Japanese engines don't always take the exact same amount of oil specified.
I'm not certain if it's the engine itself or the dipstick and assembly.
Mine requires about another 6-8 ounces of oil to keep the light from coming on.
Don't ask me why, but the dipstick still reads the same with additional 6-8 ounces.
If you put more than that in it starts reading above the full line.

Nope, neither foolish nor like to gamble, gang. Just was unaware my email showe3d. Now i have no idea how to change that.
Just a little newbie ignorance is all it was.
Note: It's never healthy or productive in life to assume things about people.
