Wink Mazda speed cx5

Wouldn't it be nice if Mazda came out with a Mazda speed CX5 ? A beefed up suspension, wider stickier tires with wider unique looking wheels , a 340 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque turbo 6 ,a 7 speed trans with another overdrive to get better fuel mileage at 80 mph ,and some fender flairs /bulges to give it a sporty different look from the standard CX5 . Might be a bargain basement Cayenne . I'm thinking $43000.00 to 46000.00 would be reasonable, and lots of fun to drive too. Something like that might sell .ZOOM ZOOM.

I have owned British cars including Jag's in the past ,and know better than to fall into that bear trap again . Sad to say ,but at this stage in my life where I don't want to work on cars I want reliability .I want to know that when I go on a trip, there will be no breakdowns . That means NO British cars. As far as the price of of $46000.00, I an negotiable providing the overall performance of the vehicle ,and inflation.

KOOL I have owned a few British cars as well ! Can't say as any of them were concours class show.
I also wrote technical articles in a published world wide periodical called How to Americanize your MGB. Some liked it other thought wtf. Buty hey I like cold beer and we all know why brits drink traditional warm beer, because the refrigerators are wired by Lucas. LOL
I did truly love my 1979 1/2 MGB Limited

This would be an extreme conversion of a project MGA. I finished one with a 302 For and top loader this one was a bit more. This one has my 391 small block Chevy. 1750lbs running LOL

Looks like a fun ride ,if you can get it to hook up and go straight without killing you .What can you expect from a country that drives on the wrong side of the road . I am sure the Brits have better electrics these days ,but there was a reason they called Lucas "the prince of darkness. I had a 1966 MGB with a built 20 over high compression 1850 cc MG engine with ported head , headers and 45 Weber side drafts .It had a 4 speed with an overdrive and wire wheels. As it was positive ground ,I had to mount the Pioneer aftermarket am fm 8 track on an oak board to isolate it. And instead of using a 12 volt battery ,it had 2, 6 volt batteries. It was fun for what it was at the time. The distributor was low on the block so if you went through a puddle it would flood the distributor. I had to take one of my moms playtex rubber gloves and put it over the distributor and wires so I could travel on rainy days. If you didn't pull the wheels off and grease the splines every 90 days they would seize the wheels to the splines. And If you didn't oil the starter Bendix drive with oil at least once a month it would break and dump the parts on the street . It was a full time job, just keeping it running . Didn't know any better about British cars back in the day ,but the young girls liked it ,so........

Nice, Ya got a couple nice rides there. I see you wrapped the exhaust so you wouldn't get burned again. Triumph bikes were always better than Triumph cars .I'm a big fan of BWM's flying brick bikes ,and if i were to get another it would be a new k1600 GT or GTL . But I'm not allowed to ride bikes anymore by draconian family dictate . They claim I have more ***** than brains , diminished reflexes and judgement . Whoever coined phrase "The golden years" ,must have had quite a sense of humor .

The exhaust wrapping was to improve the engine performance. Keep watching my thread on my Mazda
I have wrapped exhaust system dating way back in the late 70's with success, except on steel OEM exhaust systems. I also use White Lightening coatings as well.
Wrapping the complete exhaust system on any gasoline engine help maintain the exhaust velocity that would normally start colling very quickly after leaving the head, by maintaining the high exhaust temperatures you insure a constant high velocity of exhaust that support and, in some case, develops mor engine power. EVERY TIME! DYNO PROVEN! The only downfall I ever found is that it is wrapping.... it looks like an injury medical band-aid. LOL

Wow ! so your family is mentally adjusting you to being old because of your age? Time to protest.....! I am and likely always will be an Adrainne junkie...

That makes two of us...
Plus the last idiot that pulled out in front of me (3 years ago now) really messed up my knee and back making riding a pian enduring adventure.
An adventure I would now readily accept at least once a week if not for my "family's values".
I owned a K1200GT for several years but once the major component replacements came due (shocks, etc.) it was cheaper to buy a new Ducati.
