New CX-5 owner, lane keeping question
#21
I am appreciative it ISN'T more aggressive. On my '16 RDX is was very annoying. My wife liked it, but when I drove the car I deactivated it. I like to be in control of the car when I drive and I felt like it was fighting me all the time. The emergency braking had a couple of hick ups in the Acura too, it would sometimes activate when a car was turning into a street to the right side. I had plenty of room to go around them, but it would stab the brakes sometimes and I would be thinking, what just happened??? I am not a fan of these new "safety" systems in general. The only one I really like is blind spot monitoring.

It's often really "bad design" in fact for software developers to just create settings for everything. Sometimes there's elegance in making a good choice and saying "here you go, here's the feature."

Yeah I just looked and my 2021 GT's only options for lane keep assist are on and off. That's a bummer one of my few disappointments in this car is the LKA is nowhere near as good as my 2018 Sonata.
