Default OEM 17" Bolt pattern for 2018 CX-5

Hoping someone can shed some light on rim compatibility for a 2018 CX-5. My CX-5 came with 17" factory rims. I have purchased a set of winter tires, and seasonally swap the summer & winter tires. I am interested in purchasing another set of rims so the winter and summer tires can be swapped without taking the tires off the rims twice a year.
I have found a post on e-bay for a set of OEM Mazda CX-5 rims, but lists this as the title - 2013 2014 2015 2016 Mazda CX-5 17 X 7 Alloy Wheel Rim Set Of 4 OEM. I am curious if these rims would also fit my 2018 CX-5. Would the bolt pattern be the same?

Thanks in advance for any insight

yes... the bolt pattern is the same for all cx-5 models

I found a set of cx-5 17 inch wheels from a 2016 and use these for winter tires on my 2019 Signature that came with 19 inch wheels.

It is time for me to pull the winter tires off next week....

225 65r17 17x7 ET45. 5 x 114.3

Most mazda wheels are interchangeable...just watch the offset.
Imo, try keep offset between 40 and 47 depending on the width of the rim.
You can use wheel-size.com comparison to see what rims and tires may fit.

Some Kia and Hyundai rims may also fit.

Possible alternate tires
235 70 r16 for nonturbo NA only.
235 65 r17
225 60 r18
235 60 r18
225 55 r19
etc. etc.

From the eBay add, it says the rims will fit the following - Mazda CX-5 2013-2016 aluminum, 17x7, (10 straight spokes)
The rims came from a 2016 CX-5. Here is the info from the donor CX-5
VEHICLE YEAR: 2016
VEHICLE MAKE: Mazda
VEHICLE MODEL: CX-5
VEHICLE STOCK #: $P21990-920
PART # OR VEHICLE MODEL: 9965617070

Do you think these rims will fit my 2018 CX-5?

2018 have a 45 offset.
it may or it might not.
Thats not enough information.

all mazda center-bores are 67.1.
2017 forward have offset 45.
Pre 2015 had offset 50.
However, 2016 was a mixed year. some of the 2016 had offset 50 and some had offset 45.

Look at the pictures and see what the offset is on the back of the rims. It should say ET 45. If it says ET 50 , it may be too close to the suspension especially if you run wider tires. I have a Kia offset 47 for a spare and thats as close as I'd go. The offset 50 may be ok but you really need to look at it on the vehicle.

If seller didnt post pics of rim backs then contact seller and ask for the offset of the rims.

Better yet, do what i did and just go to the junkyard. Way cheaper, can see them before buying, and usually get 30 day return policy, as long as you dont mount them.

Best thing with junkyard rims is you can put the rim(only the rim, no tire)on your car and at least see how the tireless rim fits, making sure it doesnt hit the control arm, or suspension components. And then return if need be.

Remember it's way easier to push out with a lower offset(like 42, 40, 38 and some have even done 35)

A 5 mm hub-centric spacer would correct the offset issue….but at an additional cost. I second the salvage yard suggestion, as long as you can find what you want.

Gotcha…thanks. Unfortunately I cannot check out the rims prior to purchasing. The rims I found on eBay are located in Quebec and I am in British Columbia, so a multi hour flight away. If I know they will fit, I will order and the seller can ship. Here is the eBay add, which does include photos:

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/364124224973...mis&media=COPY

In one of the photos, I think it says 17x7J 50. My current tires are 225/65 R17. I am guessing that “50” stamp on the rim states that it is a ET 50, so looking like these will not fit, which is unfortunate as they were a great price for the set of four plus free shipping.

I am happy I posted here before purchasing as I could have paid $570 for a set of rims that I couldn’t use!

I didn't say they won't fit. I said they might not fit. The rim will be closer to the brake calipers and may not leave enough clearance. Why not go to junkyard and get a pulloff rim for the older mazda with offset ET50 and then try it on your cx-5 and check the brake clearance. Then youll know for sure and can order what you want. You just might find what you want at the junkyard. nowadays salvage yards only keep the good rims, they even look and test the rims for true prior to selling. Any badly scuffed, gouged bent rims are usually scrapped while they sell the better stuff usually to garages/body shops/insurance companies for insurance claims.
you might even find and get a mazda ET45 that you like.
