Hi;

I wrote a few weeks ago about trying to swap the plastic dashboard and door trim from my CX 5 (2019 Sport) for genuine wood trim.

What I’ve learned is that those trim pieces from a 2019 or a 2020 “Signature” package CX 5 would work well for this swap.

My problem is finding a Signature package in a salvage yard. I’ve been searching online and on the phone with dozens of junkyards and salvage yards.

There has to be a suitable car somewhere in the USA! Does anyone here have any suggestions for how to find one? Is there a national parts database that I can access? Any salvage yards specializing in Mazda parts?

I would certainly appreciate any advice.

I wasn’t sure what you meant. Are you saying that the recycler would have to be in this forum si that they could see my post?

And when you suggest;

“Try in Ranch Cordova Ca”, I’m just not sure if you’re suggesting an auto recycler named “Ranch” that’s in Cordova or whether “Ranch Cordova” is the name of the company.. Or could you that town that there’s a town called “Ranch Cordova” where I should search?

The better Auto recyclers are connected to a group. Yes they would need to make the search at their location. They usually do not tell you where the parts is for obvious reasons they want the sale. Not all Auto Recyclers belong to that group. That is why I suggested to look at the auto recyclers in RanchoCordova area.
Rancho Cordova is a city in California.

I'm assuming the 06117 is your zip meaning Connecticut.
Here are two local places you may even be able to visit.

Just remember that Mazda sold about 150,000 CX-5 per year from 2018 to 2020.
There just won't be a large number of wrecked ones to choose from.
