We need some truckloads of CX-5's around here. At 3 local dealerships, inventory is down to 1 or 2 units. As fast as these things sell I'm surprised I'm still not seeing many on street, but I don't expect that to last long...

I've seen a few here in Apex NC (outside of Raleigh). One I see everyday when I walk my kid to the bus stop. Silver, drives past every morning.

I see another parked in a driveway a few neighborhoods over. They have 2 mazdas in the driveway.

Also, I've talked with several local dealers that have 1, 2 or 3 Sport or Tourings. GTs and esp. GT AWD are hard to come by. I heard from 2 separate dealers that the company in Japan that makes the 19" GT wheels was totally destroyed by the tsunami. Guess they relocated to start producing them again, but obviously at a much slower pace. Crazy to think about that tradegy.

Still, they've put out a pretty darn cool car...and evidently demand is 6x over what they forecast.
Bet they will be all over the road within the next year.

Might be that the next time I post, I'll have one in my driveway...

Saw 4th one today (a black fwd GT), since purchasing mine in mid-March. Many dealers here now are down to 0 units in stock.

Living on Long Island with about 10 dealers I only saw a white one yesterday and the previous one was a dark gray about 2 weeks ago. This past weekend 2 people approached me to ask what I thought about my car. The dealers here are going thru their inventory fast, But with about 4 million people living here all you see is CR-v & Rav 4 besides everything you can think of but Mazda.

Today is June 25th, haven't seen any CX-5's since my last post on June 8th. Still pretty rare...

I've had mine for 3 weeks and still haven't seen one on the road. There are about 12 or so CX-5's within a 30 mile radius sitting on the dealers lots.
