Here in RI I've seen only one other than mine! I own a white, the other was gray.

There are TONS of them on the roads here, I see about 2-3 new ones a day on average.

If you check Mazda production numbers you will see that they only plan to make 240000 units for the whole world. That was raised from the original 200000 units because of demand. These cars will be very thinly spread around.

4 months after taking delivery of my CX-5, I have only seen 5 others in my area. Still relatively rare considering how well imports sell in this area.

The CX-5s are VERY VERY popular here since they get about 52mpg with the manual transmission, not bad for 147hp

Are you talking about a diesel car?

Yeah, the 2.2d low HP version, it is actually pretty fun to drive, the 280ftlb really helps get it going. The automatic version gets only 43mpg but I couldnt test drive one because they dont have an auto version at the dealer. The AWD manual 175PS/310ftlb (dont know the HP but PS is very close) engine gets about 45mpg while the AWD auto gets 42mpg.

Make that 7 in over 4 months, just saw a blue one today.

So now they are slightly less exotic.
