Rear bumper protection

Rear bumper protection
Hi All
We just purchased a CX-5 Signature and I want to add something to protect the rear bumper just below the lift gate. I seen on forums that some products shouldn't be used with the auto lift gate and parking sensors. We don't like the stainless OEM and were looking for a black guard. Something like the link below. Suggestions?
Thanks.

For the 2014 there was a Chinese stainless piece that goes over the edge, but I read many reviews where the 90 degree corner in combination with the bumper's curved shape was not a close tolerance, and people were unhappy with it. I had experience on the 2014 with inner door sills that fit over the vinyl sill portion. They were very useful in preserving the door sill, but I continually had to apply more double sided tape as a good kick might knock them off. Again, the reason seemed to be all the compound curves and not a great fit. But if I had to do it again, I would try those interior metal sill guards again, and have. I just have not applied them yet because the weather is so cold and I have been too lazy to get out the hair dryer to heat things up and get a good bond with the double sided tape.

I would recommend PPF as another poster said. Then you can't see it and it can cover as much of the bumper as you want. Our '21 came with the factory bumper protector when I bought it. I don't love it as it is pretty chunky but it has worked so far.

It cost me $320 last year.
For Mazda CX-5 2015-2016 Black Stainless Steel Bull Bar Front Bumper Grill Guard. From Omac shop usa. It fit my 2020 cx5. It uses the same undercarriage mounting points and front bumper reinforcement brackets. You just need to notch the foam bumper insert.
