Default Rear Visibility

When will Mazda remedy the poor rear visibility? I almost bought a 2019, but the lack of good visibility discouraged me. Additionally, the vehicle could use more cargo space. I really liked the vehicle aside from those two negatives.

I drive CX-5s regularly and have no issues with visibility. I assume the reverse camera & blind spot monitoring aren't suitable for you? If you want more space buy the CX-9.

Default CX5 Rear Visibility

I am not alone, CR also reported this negative aspect of the vehicle. I am only posting my observations.

I have a 2019 cx5. I have no problems with the rear visibility.
The cargo space is adequate for the size of the vehicle. If you need more space, buy a bigger car.

Default Mazda CX5 Rear visibility and cargo space

Just stating fact, not meaning to antagonize people.

You're stating an opinion. Not a fact. For me, the cargo space is more than adequate for the size of the vehicle.
If someone needs more space, buy a bigger car.

Default CX5 Cargo Area

CR rates the cargo area 2/5, and that is a fact. Apparently you don't accept facts, just your own personal opinion. I like the CX5, but it also has limitations, just like every automobile. That is a fact.

As I said, the cargo space is adequate--for me and thousands of others. If it's not adequate for someone else, buy a bigger car.

Wonder what CR says about the cargo space in the new MX5 or (even worse) in the newer Alfa Romeo sports car. For our use, the cargo space is more than adequate. If I need more space, I drive my Grand Cherokee. If I still need more space, I either use a roof rack or rent a trailer. I don't think the space compares unfavorably to other compact crossovers that are the same size.

Without the backup cam, the rear visibility would be bad. With it, it is fine. Again, comparing it to other compact crossovers, it is about the same or even better. It seems everyone is designing them now with the small rear quarter windows.

Seems like a fishing expedition going on here.

You should have determined the lack of visibility in your part before you bought the cx5, that is if you actually own one.
