Angry Road trip in new cx5 grand t

We just got the 2014 cx5 about 2 weeks ago. Last weekend drove her 400 miles to charleston. Great handling on the road and in town, easy to parked. We got about 28 mpg overall, rising 70-80 interstate. Considerable road noise. But t he biggest problem for me is the really hard leather front seats. I was the passenger and my back was killing me! Very concerned as I have a 12 hr road trip in nov! I bought a gel cushion at Walmart and this seems to help a lot. I think this suv was designed for taller larger people. I am a small woman about 120 lbs... Other than that we are very happy. The nav system was not all that, so used the iPhone as well......Wondering if other people do not like the seats? So hard to determine on a 30 min test drive.....

I have a 2014 touring with the cloth seats and they are not much more fun it sounds like. I am 6'4" and I traded in a 2007 Mazda 3 which had really comfortable seats. The side bolsters are so tight that the seat back is way to narrow and I am only 225# so not very broad. I think they messed up on the buckets and the headrest. I test drove a grand touring and the seats felt about the same as the cloth but with more adjustment.

No problem found, but I haven't driven CX-5 more than 350 miles in one day and I'm 5'9" and slim.
