I've been looking at different roof rails and rack system for camping with our 2024 CX-5. Feeling a little overwhelmed with choices. We would like to take the rack/clam/whatever off between trips. Does anyone have anything they like for this?

 

My car came with the OEM Mazda rack and rails and they're great. They don't really seem to make much, if any, noise unless there's a crazy wind storm outside. They're thick metal and look great. They also seem to have a very small hit on my fuel economy, but it's so small I hardly notice a difference compared to the EPA's numbers.

 

We have been using the OEM rails and crossbars with Thule Force M624. Quick and easy to put on and take off myself and accessible from both sides. We use it for occasional beach trips to carry chairs, etc. In 2020, this was the best cargo carrier at a good pricepoint. There are better models, but come with a considerable price tag.
