SD Nav Card

it's always better to have offline navigation in reserve because there are places where even 3g is not available .... but the main reason is that when you start navigation the speed limit appears on the head up display and the TSR (traffic sign recognition) system starts to work .... I bought mine from navi-world.com a long time ago and recently they upgraded my 3 years of free updates for a quarter of the price ..... happy as ever

The funny thing to me is when you pay 50 for the card, you get the 3yrs of updates with it. If you just want more updates for 3 yrs you pay 70... I would think the cost would be less since it's just updating your current card.

Since it has obviously been figured out maybe others will do it and the price will come down.... You get a much better deal on the SD card which is 400 from the dealer and 50 (or less) from other sellers.

Up until recently you had to buy updates after 3yrs from the Toolbox app. Now as posted above, you can get 3 more years for $70 from an aftermarket seller.

An area of information I do not know much about!!!
The best thing with SD NAV updates I found is to do the research and find who the company gets their information from. This will tell you how current the actual physical information pertaining to new and changed roads and other information. It is not an easy task but some who like to spend time on the WWW can find this information. I came up with a lot of dead ends? I for one would like to see if anyone actually finds a TRUE up to date at least in the last 24 months full updated navigation road maps?
I know in my area the most current claimed update still does not show new roads and residential areas that have been completed in the last 4 years?
Maybe this is why I still carry a Garmin as back up when I go on trips?
