should we follow the default maintenance schedule?
recently my maintenance light is on and the default maintenance setting for the first schedule is less than 3 months which is different from what I bought from the dealer. should we follow it or not?

Testing on the Skyactive motors has been excellent. Your driving conditions will determine the recommended service intervals. Use of the synthetic oils and Mazda's advancements in their Skyactive technology, has greatly increased service intervals. Even with heavy city use, You can run a 4-5 month/ 5000 mike service. Urban cars, like mine, run a 6 month/ 7500 mile service. The dealer would love to see you in every 3months

6 months tops. Chicago District is trying to stay with 4/5000. My area is using 6/7500. Skyactive can run a 10,000 mile interval, but how many consumers would stop in every 4-5 months to rotate tires and change filters? CX-7's fell apart here due to lack of proper maintenance and consumer education about turbo's. Should Mazda have put a turbo timer in the PCM software to allow a 2min idle before shut down? Maybe. Just my thoughts. We have 5 Mazda's in our family, I own 2 of them. Wouldn't have any other car personally.

In Oz it used to be service your car every 6 months or 10,000kms ( 6,000 miles) which ever came first. Now they have gone to 12 months or 10,000kms, to cater for people who do low km's. All the fluids & filters are still based on the same time, eg brake fluid is still 2yrs , but also still 40,000kms, it all depends on your driving.
