Signature 2021 problems
Hi!
I want to buy a Mazda cx-5 signature 2021, but I’am afraid about a turbo. I have a questions about this turbo engine. Have you ever had any problems with turbo in this model? And maybe you will have some tips for me?
Thanks

And I know that Mazda allows using a 83 octan gasoline and then the engine have a 230 hp (250hp with 87octan) so if I want to use a 83 octan gasoline I will have a trouble with turbo?

Lower octane fuel can potentaily cause preignition, and damage the engine, but since Mazda says 83 octane is approved that won't be problem. The advantage of higher octane with the turbo is more horsepower as the engine management system takes advantage of it. I have a 2021 Signature with the turbo and I've not heard any preignition, AKA knocking, with regular gas.

Not sure what country the OP calls home, but the minimum recommended octane in the US is 87. Other countries often measure octane differently but the results when driving are the same. The 2.5 turbo engine is proven reliable, as are most modern 4-cylinder turbo engines. I’ve had three turbos in the past 12 years, all were very reliable (save the BMW’s fuel pump - which was given a 120,000 mile extended warranty). Don’t worry about the Mazda turbo engine, pay attention to seat comfort as this is the most common complaint I’ve seen. I love mine.
