SkyActive-D delayed in the U.S.?
Hi,
All the articles and news that I found through searching the webs indicate that Mazda cars (notably CX-5)
with SkyActive-D (diesel) engine were supposed to be available in the U.S. early this year (2013).
However I can't seem to find that on Mazda's official website
and there is not a single news outlet that talks about potential delays or any related announcement!
Have they already announced a delay for this and I missed this or my internet search skills are vastly deteriorated?
This is one of the rare articles that mentions they will be released in the second half of 2013!
thanks in advance.

As far as I know, Mazda never actually said they would import diesel powered CX-5s into the US. That rumor, while it would seem a logical move, was largely driven by the media. The company has chosen to introduce the diesel to the US as an option for the Mazda 6 in the second half of this year. If it proves successful in that model, it will probably be offered on others here.
